Woman Killed in Essex Fells Blaze Identified
Fells Road house fire does not appear to be suspicious, the prosecutor's office said.
The fire that killed a 60-year-old Essex Fells woman early Sunday morning does not appear to be suspicious, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.
The prosecutor’s office identified the victim on Monday as Michelle L. Meoli, who was pulled from the blaze before dying at 4:06 a.m. Sunday at Mountainside Hospital. The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy.
Meoli appeared to be the only person who lived in the Fells Road home, the prosecutor’s office said.
