3 Chances Of Snow In This Week's NJ Forecast
The National Weather Service says there are three chances for snow this week, and a hazardous weather outlook has been issued.
More snow could be heading toward New Jersey this week, and it could make driving a bit difficult for commuters.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for North Jersey since some light snow or mixed precipitation late Monday night and early Tuesday morning could result in hazardous travel. The National Weather Service said more snow could impact the region by Tuesday night, likely after 10 p.m. The snow will likely impact the Philadelphia suburbs in South Jersey and Northwest Jersey.

The snow will likely be part of an Alberta Clipper storm that is expected to lay a swath of snow and slippery travel from the Great Lakes to the Northeast early this week, according to an AccuWeather release.

“A strong arctic cold front will drop south through the Great Lakes and far interior Northeast [early this week], with snow showers and blinding squalls,” AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Meteorologist Paul Pastelok said in the release.

The most snow could arrive on Thursday and/or Friday, however.

The National Weather Service expects that there could be enough snow to cover all of New Jersey as early as 7 a.m. on Thursday.

Snow could fall sporadically after that, but more is expected to fall either Thursday night or during the day on Friday.
The cold could be what triggers the additional snow, paving the way for another clipper to move through the Northeast late in the week, according to AccuWeather.
