The township is beginning the 2021 Adopt-a-Spot program to ensure public properties are kept clean.
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — If you love certain public properties around East Windsor and would like to ensure they are kept clean, this could be an opportunity for you.

Mayor Janice Mironov said that in the past, the program was met with great success as it ensures community engagement.
“'Adopt-a-Spot' is a great program in not only ensuring public areas of our community are well-maintained, but also has been a wonderful educational tool for teaching our young people civic responsibility and community pride,” Mironov said in a statement.

She said the program involves many community groups, “primarily lots of young people, and in return, the Township seeks to help support the activities and service of these worthwhile youth groups.”
Once a spot is “adopted,” a placard is placed on the site indicating which group has adopted it. The groups are expected to perform clean-up three times a month, beginning April 1 through November 30.
Those interested should send a letter to East Windsor Clean Communities Committee, 16 Lanning Boulevard, East Windsor, New Jersey 08520. The letter should be addressed to Mironov.
