Reminder: Bone Marrow Registry Drive Saturday

Cranbury resident Dawn Maisano is in need of an urgent bone marrow transplant and is looking for a match.

On Saturday you can join the national bone marrow registry, Be The Match, by getting swabbed at the  from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration paperwork will need to be filled out, and all information is kept confidential, according to organizers.

Maisano started treatments for a bone marrow disorder that resulted in scarring of the bone marrow, called Myelofibrosis, according to a flyer. Now her marrow is not functioning properly and a transplant is needed.
