As COVID Cases Rise, East Windsor Mayor Urges Caution

The town currently has a 100 active COVID-19 cases. Mayor Janice Mironov has asked residents to help slow the spread of the virus.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ —East Windor reported 60 new COVID positive cases since Nov. 13, bringing the total number of active cases to 100 for the first time in months.

In a message to the community, Mayor Janice S. Mironov asked residents to stay strong.

“Now, as the number of cases increase rapidly, we must all re-evaluate our current routines and return to a higher level of caution,” Mironov said.

She urged residents remain cautious during the Holiday season.

“As we prepare for the onset of the Holidays and winter months, it is especially important that everyone in our community shares responsibility to take all precautions and help minimize the risks of the spread of the virus to ourselves and to others within our community,” she said.

She asked all residents to play their part in helping slow the spread of COVID-19.

“We strongly ask you to please watch out for your family, friends and our entire community, including providing safer conditions for our first responders, by exercising extra diligence and following all of the required directives and advice of health care experts and government officials,” said Mironov.
