East Windsor To Distribute Free Gun Locks Beginning March 1
The locks will be distributed under East Windsor's Gun Safety Program that will run through the month of March.
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov recently announced that the township will distribute free gun locks to residents.
The initiative is part of East Windsor’s Gun Safety Program, which will begin March 1 and continue through the end of the month.
Mironov said the initiative was geared to promote and provide improved gun safety and prevent tragedies.

“These locks, if properly used by lawful gun owners, can help prevent accidental deaths or injuries in the home, as well as deaths and injuries caused by the intentional misuse of guns,” Mironov in a statement.
“We hope that programs such as this will remind and educate lawful gun owners about their important responsibility to handle firearms safely and to store them in a secure manner.”

Residents can get their free safety locks at the township police/court at 80 One Mile Road, by contacting Detective Brian Gorski at (609) 448-5678, ext. 236.
The gun locks are made available to the East Windsor at no cost, through Project ChildSafe — the nation’s largest firearms safety program — and is sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
