Ten district staff members were recognized at the last Board of Education Meeting for twenty-five years of dedicated service to the East Windsor Regional School District.

Gilbert Dilts, Maintenance, Buildings & Grounds-Gil Dilts began his career with the East Windsor Regional School District in October of 1987.  He began working in the maintenance department, and then took over the locksmith duties for the district.  Throughout his twenty-five years with the district, he has always taken pride in his work.  He is always willing to go above and beyond to help and share his knowledge with those around him.  Gil served his country with the Navy in Vietnam prior to working in the district.

Richard Auth, Custodian, Buildings & Grounds-Richard Auth (AKA Richie) has been a dedicated custodian, with a work ethic that rivals many. He has a hello for everyone he encounters.  He has an easy smile and a pleasant attitude that everyone can appreciate.  The best thing about Mr. Auth is his willingness to help others; you do not even have to ask.  On many occasions, he has gone out of his way to help a fellow custodian with a task that was not his own. This shows true character.

Maria J. Rodriguez, Teacher, GNR-Maria Rodriguez began her career in East Windsor in 1987 as a first grade teacher at the Walter C. Black School where she taught until moving to the Perry L. Drew School in 1993 and then continuing her tenure as a first grade teacher in 2008 as she moved to the Grace Norton Rogers School. There is no more professional and diligent teacher than Mrs. Rodriguez. She has been noted throughout her teaching career for her exceptional planning; always preparing lessons that are carefully constructed in order to meet the developmental needs of her students.

Robert Solomon, Teacher, MHK-Rob Solomon epitomizes the impact a coach and a teacher can have on the lives of his players/students. Whether he’s on the field, court or in the classroom, Mr. Solomon has the gift of motivating, teaching and inspiring his students to work hard, improve and ultimately find success regardless of the activity. In Mr. Solomon ’s class, opting out is not an option and it pays off in the growth his students make every year in his class and how their attitudes towards math become more positive.

Marc Nitka, Teacher, WCB-Marc Nitka has been educating students in the East Windsor Regional School District since 1987.  This represents a lifetime of dedication to students and parents.  Mr. Nitka is an integral part of the East Windsor Regional School District.  Over the year, his supervisors and administrators have commended him for creating an exciting and activity-centered classroom; engaging students in hand-on activities; providing meaningful examples that enhance learning; praising and encouraging students; relating to students in a positive manner; and projecting a feeling of belonging and self-worth in students.

Linda Pohl, Teacher, PLD-In July 1987, Linda Pohl was hired to work in the Perry L. Drew School.  Mrs. Pohl gives everything her all.  She believes in her students and believes in their strong abilities.  Each year when school begins, Mrs. Pohl sets high bars for her students to reach.  She is dedicated to her profession and quite frequently shares her vast knowledge with colleagues throughout the building.

Cheryl Fuhr, Teacher, PLD-Cheryl Fuhr began her career in our school district on January 29, 1988. Each year, she lets her students know that she believes in their abilities. She pin points specifically where a child is academically, and she builds him/her from that point forward.  Mrs. Fuhr creates strong networks with parents.  Over the years, many families have requested to have her for their teacher.  Mrs. Fuhr is fair and firm, loving and caring.  Students get the right mix when they enter her room.

Olga Klein, Clerk, Student Services-Olga reports to work promptly with an agenda to be efficient, and she manages her time accordingly.  Her day is complete only when she has accomplished her goals.  She faces every challenge with the commitment of doing whatever it takes to get the job done.  She responds to every request with enthusiasm, it does not matter how big or small the task.  She believes in order (and recycling too).  She is our historian, with her own system for archiving information.
