East Windsor Skechers Opens Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Skechers opened a new store in East Windsor in February, but it soon closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. It has reopened.

EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — The new Skechers store in East Windsor has seen a roller-coaster ride. A ribbon-cutting for America’s third largest athletic footwear brand was held on Feb. 13, just before the outbreak of the coronavirus shut down the state and the country, officials announced on Wednesday.

East Windsor Mayor Janice S. Mironov and Council Members Perry Shapiro and John Zoller joined Skechers District Manager Harry Rodriguez and store managers Christina DeLuca and Maggie Luciana for the ceremony.

But shortly after they opened, Skechers had to close to comply with Gov. Phil Murphy’s stay-at-home executive order to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. They have now reopened in accordance with state guidelines, officials announced.
