Family Tree Walk In Mercer County This Weekend

Participants will take a walk around Watson Woods at Roebling Park and discover the diversity of trees that can be found there.

The Tulpehaking Nature Center will host a Family Tree Walk on Sunday, Nov. 19, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Participants will take a walk around Watson Woods at Roebling Park and discover the diversity of trees that can be found there.

From black oak to sassafras, participants will learn some interesting facts about trees while enjoying what’s left of the fall foliage. Following the walk, they will make a turkey leaf lantern craft to display on their Thanksgiving tables. They can bring their own glass jar to upcycle or use one that will be provided.

The program costs $5 per person, $20 per family, and is appropriate for kids ages 8 and up. Register by calling 609-888-3218 or by visiting https://goo.gl/forms/.
