Friends of Hickory Corner Library Book Sale Kicks Off this Week

Veteran’s Day 

Monday is Veteran’s Day and government offices and all schools will be closed. There will also be no mail delivery today. Veteran’s Day was established by President Woodrow Wilson in 1919 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day, the day when the fighting in World War I ended. 

Government

East Windsor

• The East Windsor Mayor and Council is meeting at the East Windsor Municipal Building at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 

Hightstown 

• The Hightstown Greenway Walking Bridge Committee is meeting at the Apollo Lodge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 
• The Hightstown Planning Board is meeting at the First Aid Building at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 
• The Hightstown Board of Health is meeting in the conference room of the Housing Authority at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. 
• The Hightstown Parks and Recreation Commission is meeting in the First Aid Building at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. 

Cranbury 

• The Cranbury Township Committee is meeting in the Township Committee room of Cranbury Town Hall at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. 
• The Cranbury Park Planning Commission is meeting in the Gourgaud Gallery at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday. 
• The Cranbury Municipal Alliance Commission is meeting in the Cranbury Library at 8 a.m. on Thursday. 
• The Library Board of Trustees is meeting in the Cranbury Library at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. 

Schools

• Walter C. Black Elementary School is holding parent-teacher conferences this week on Tuesday and Thursday. 
• Hightstown High School is having underclassmen school photo makeups and retakes on Tuesday. 

Friends of the Hickory Corner Library Book Sale 

The Friends of the Hickory Corner Library is having a book sale beginning on Thursday at 4 p.m. for members only and then the sale will be open to the public from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The sale will also take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a bag sale on Sunday - all the books you can fit in a bag for $4!
