Jugtown Mountain Spring Band Performs In Mercer County Friday Night
They will team up with caller Sue Dupre for this year's Summer Barn Dance at Howell Living History Farm.

The Jugtown Mountain String Band will team up with caller Sue Dupre for Howell Living History Farm’s annual summer barn dance on Friday night, July 7, 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 7 p.m. A $5 donation is welcome.
The event will be held inside the Charles Fish barn, a circa 1850 timber frame building attached to the farm's Visitor Center. The air-conditioned barn is fully accessible, and it has a wooden floor, open bays and acoustics that make it ideal for dances.
Beginners are welcome at the dance and visitors are encouraged to try their hands, and sometimes feet, at an earlier way of life. During the evening, a variety of easy and more challenging dances will be called. Dances involve a combination of square, circle and contra-dances typical of the times.
