Mercer County Tennis Center Collects Awards

The Mercer County Tennis Center has been named a 2016 Middle States Premier Provider by the United States Tennis Association.

The Mercer County Tennis Center has been named a 2016 Middle States Premier Provider by the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

Marc Vecchiolla, Director of the Tennis Center, has also been recognized as 2015 USTA New Jersey District Tournament Director of the Year and 2015 USTA Middle States Tournament Director of the Year. Devin Crawbuck, an instructor at the Tennis Center, has been named 2015 USTA New Jersey District Pro of the Year.

“This is a great honor for the Mercer County Tennis Center and staff,” Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes said. “As one of 34 facilities and organizations selected this year, the Mercer County Tennis Center is being recognized for providing many of the facility adaptations and programs that the USTA offers to other communities. This includes 10-and-under tennis, USTA Junior Team Tennis, USTA League Tennis, tournaments, educational opportunities, blended lines and other efforts in growing tennis.”

“I am extremely proud of all the staff at the Tennis Center,” Mercer County Park Commission Executive Director Kevin B. Bannon said. “Their hard work and dedication to providing outstanding lessons, leagues, tournaments and efforts to grow the sport of tennis in Mercer County shows in the prestigious recognitions they have received.”

The Mercer County Tennis Center is owned by the County of Mercer and operated by the Mercer County Park Commission.
