SATURDAY, JULY 1
Carteret: Independence Day festival from 2 to 11 p.m. at the waterfront park. Fireworks will go off around dusk.

Hillsborough: The Hillsborough Independence Day Celebration and fireworks will be held on Saturday, July 1 at 5 p.m. at Auten Road Intermediate School. The celebration will include an afternoon and evening of entertainment, family fun and a food tent followed by Hillsborough's Fireworks show around 9 p.m.
Sayreville: Fireworks go off at about 9:30 p.m. from Kennedy Park at 807 Washington Road. Rain date is Sunday.

Scotch Plains: An Independence Day Fireworks Celebration will be held at the Scotch Hills Golf Course, 820 Jerusalem Road in Scotch Plains. Residents can begin entering the park at 7 p.m. and the fireworks show will start at dusk.
SUNDAY, JULY 2
Lavallette: A concert and fireworks will be held at the Lavallette Gazebo on the beach at Philadelphia Avenue. The concert on Sunday begins at 8 p.m. and the fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m.
New Brunswick/Highland Park: New Brunswick will celebrate Independence Day with live music and a fireworks display over the Raritan River on Sunday, July 2. Music will begin at 5 p.m. at Boyd Park. At 9:20 p.m. attendees will turn their eyes to the sky for fireworks.
MONDAY, JULY 3
Aberdeen: Fireworks at dusk in Fireman’s Field, located at the corner of Lloyd Rd. and Gerard Avenue, with the Annual Mayor’s Trophy Softball game. There will also be food vendors.
Bloomfield: Musical entertainment by Jersey Sound starts at 7:30 p.m. at Essex County's Brookdale Park, on Watchung Avenue. Concert is followed by fireworks.
Franklin: Franklin Township's Independence Celebration will be on Monday, July 3 from 6 to 10 p.m. Fireworks will be at 9:15 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset.
New Providence: The New Providence Independence Day Celebration begins at 7 p.m. and the fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m
Perth Amboy and South Amboy: The towns will put on a dual fireworks show starting at about 9:20 p.m. on July 3 over the Raritan Bay. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. In Perth Amboy, watch from Sadowski Parkway on the waterfront. In South Amboy, watch at Raritan Bay Waterfront Park. The rain date is July 4.
Rahway: Rahway's Independence Day Fireworks will be displayed behind Rahway City Hall at 9 p.m. on Monday July 3. The best viewing areas will be along Main and Irving St. in the downtown area.
South River: Returning for Independence Day this year, South River Parks & Recreation will be holding a fireworks display on Monday, July 3 at Denny Stadium (David Street). Admission is free. Musical entertainment will run approximately 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The fireworks are scheduled to go off at approximately 9 p.m.
Woodbridge: Woodbridge Township will hold the annual Independence Day fireworks this year on Monday, July 3. The fireworks will be held at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park in Sewaren. Gates open at 4 p.m. but the park will be closed all day before that.
TUESDAY, JULY 4
Bridgewater: Fireworks go off at dusk on July 4 in North Branch Park. This is part of a Revolutionary War encampment re-enactment happening there that same day.
Beachwood: Beachwood Beach and the bluffs over the river are the best viewing spots, but the display can be seen as far down as Ocean Gate.
Bay Village in Beach Haven: Fireworks get underway at dusk on the bay at 9th and Bay avenues.
Camden County Waterfront Freedom Festival: The Camden County Waterfront Freedom Festival and Fourth of July Fireworks Display will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. It will include concerts and a veteran’s tribute, and will conclude with a spectacular, world-class fireworks display over the Delaware River.
Clark: Clark's Independence Day Celebration will held on Tuesday, July 4 at the Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark. The event will start at 7 p.m. where attendees can enjoy food, ice cream and music while shopping novelty vendors. Fireworks will be at around 9:15 p.m.
Cranford: Cranford’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration will offer canoe races, a one-mile fun run and a four-mile run, plus vendors in the park. There will also be amusement rides and games. It will run from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. at Nomahegan Park.
East Brunswick: Fireworks go off at about 9:45 p.m. at the Community Arts Center on Cranbury Road. There will also be free bounce rides, bands at 5 and 7:30 p.m. and a wing-eating contest at 7 p.m. Food vendors. Festivities begin at 4 p.m.
Liberty State Park in Jersey City: The 2017 Jersey City Freedom & Fireworks Festival will take place from 1 to 10 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. This year, the festival - which Jersey City officials called the "Largest Fireworks Display in the State" - will include a performance from headliner Kool & The Gang, who will take to the stage at 8:15 p.m. Additional attractions include kids entertainment, a “smorgasbord” of food, carnival rides, an expanded large beer garden and live music performances at two stages.
Livingston: The township will host its 81st July 4th celebration on Tuesday, July 4. All events during the celebration will be held on or near the Memorial Oval on Robert Harp Drive. Events begin with the Classic Car Show and Kiwanis Swim Karnival at 9 a.m. and culminate with a “fireworks spectacular” at 9:15 p.m.
Montclair: An annual parade and family picnic will be held. The celebration culminates with the 2017 Montclair July 4th Fireworks display, which will take place at Yogi Berra Stadium on Montclair State University campus.
OceanFest in Long Branch: This celebration has pretty much got it all. The famous boardwalk, great views, performances by dancers, fireaters, a children's magic show, a stilt walker, jugglers, sand sculptures, unicyclists, costumed characters, crafters from all over the Northeast and a smorgasbord of food from vendors. The event is capped off by a fireworks display at dusk.
Ocean City: Ocean City's Fourth of July Celebration will begin with a Kite-Flying Contest at 7 p.m. The yo-yo and spinner demonstrations and contest start at 8 p.m. and the Hula Hoop Contest is at 8:30 p.m. Tidal Wave Band will play party rock at the Music Pier for an hour prior to the fireworks and an hour after. Fireworks will be launched from a barge off Ninth Street Beach beginning at about 9:15 p.m. The best place to view them is from the beach and boardwalk between Fifth Street and 14th Street.
Piscataway: Celebration at 6 p.m. at Piscataway High School Stadium, 100 Behmer Rd., Piscataway. Food, kiddie rides and music. Fireworks begin at sundown.
Ridgewood: The annual Fourth of July fireworks display in Ridgewood has named the best in Bergen County for more than a decade. Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. at Veterans Field.
Seaside Heights: The Seaside Heights Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza will be held on the beach and visible from anywhere on the boardwalk. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.
Summit: The City of Summit 70th annual Fourth of July Celebration will be held at Soldiers Memorial Field, located at 5 Myrtle Ave. The day-long celebration will include entertainment, rides and amusements, as well as an expanded food truck festival. The daytime events will begin with the Flag Raising Ceremony at 9:45 a.m. and continue until 1 p.m. The evening’s festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and will end with the fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
