Over 2,000 People Attend East Windsor's National Night Out
The purpose of the event is to strengthen the bond between police and the community.

EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — Well over 2,000 people attended East Windsor’s National Night Out event on Aug. 6 at the East Windsor P.A.L. fields, according to township officials. About 75 organizations and businesses hosted booths and displays.
The purpose of the event was to demonstrate East Windsor’s commitment to promoting a cooperative partnership among police, local government officials and citizens to prevent crime throughout the community.
The event featured police, fire and emergency medical services equipment, and crime watch information. There were demonstrations by a canine trained in detecting illegal drugs, child car safety seat inspections and demonstrations by the American Red Cross.

Areas were also set up for issuance of identification cards for children, fire hose demonstrations and face painting. Further activities included a moon bounce, a rock climbing wall, music and refreshments were available.
