Peddie Celebrates Installation of New Headmaster Saturday

The celebration will also kick off The Peddie Schools sesquicentennial.

Peddie School will install its 16th headmaster on Saturday, Sept. 21 during a campus celebration that will also honor the school’s 150th anniversary, according to the school's publicist Wendi Patella.

Peter A. Quinn was unanimously appointed headmaster by the Peddie Board of Trustees at the beginning of the 2013-14 school year. Quinn previously worked at Peddie as a teacher, coach, dorm supervisor, college counselor and admission director from 1985 to 1996. He was most recently headmaster of Wakefield School in Virginia for 17 years.

The installation of Quinn as new headmaster will be take place at Peddie’s center campus in Hightstown at 10 a.m. The keynote address will be given by Pearl R. Kane, Ed.D., Klingenstein Family Chair Professor of Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.  Kane has been director of the Klingenstein Center for Independent School Leadership since 1978.
