Peddie to Compete in Mid-Atlantic Prep League Debate

This is the first multi-school debate of the MAPL schools since the 1940s.

For the first time since the 1940s, there will be multi-school debate among the schools of the Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL). The Hill School, Lawrenceville School, and The Peddie School, of Hightstown, will be in attendance.

Peddie will be represented by three outside judges, including renowned Trenton Central High School Coach Nicholas Cirillo, a former attorney, and a recent graduate of the Princeton Debate Program. After three elimination rounds, there will be a final round which decides the winner.

The MAPL Debate Champions will then be given a certificate of achievement for excellence in debate.

In resurrecting this decades long tradition all three schools hopes "that further MAPL Debate Competitions will eventually give way to a formal MAPL Debate League."
