Saluting The Class Of 2021: Rithik Rajasekar Of Hightstown High School

Before this year's seniors head on to that next step in their lives, we want to take a moment to let their stars shine here on Patch.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — The high school seniors of 2021 have had an experience like no other in a century — a year upended by a pandemic and by lockdowns that kept them from enjoying many of the activities that previous seniors have taken for granted.

Patch hopes to help make it up to those seniors by giving them a special sendoff. We asked parents and other family members to pay tribute to this year’s grads using a special submission form so we can publish those tributes one by one.

Rithik Rajasekar will graduate from Hightstown High School.

Plans after graduation: University of Pittsburgh Honors College - Molecular Biology & Biochemistry (Premed Track)

Accomplishments: NJGSS Research Scholar, National Merit Commended Scholar, Hightstown First Aid Squad EMT Cadet, BLS (CPR and AED Certified), Centrastate Hospital Oncology ward call Bell Volunteer, 2021 Consumer Bowl Mercer County Champion, Taekwondo 2nd degree black belt and red black collar instructor, HHS Tennis Varsity Team, National Honors Society, Math Honors Society (President), Hightstown Red Cross Club (Co-President), Project Green. Amidst the pandemic situation, Conducted successfully a research project virtually at NJGSS using meta-analysis on single unit spike train data utilizing MatLab, in order to research what factors affect spike train variability such as anesthesia and levels of processing
