To work toward a Sustainable Jersey certification, towns establish a "Green Team" which chooses from a list of action items worth various levels of points to complete. Once a specific point level has been reached, the town will receive the certification.

Actions related to local food include: Buy Fresh, Buy Local programs, farmers markets, community, school and municipal gardens, zoning for food production and sales and farmland preservation plans.

Cocktails will be served starting at 5 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased at sustainablejersey.com or online by clicking here.
