Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz Buying Eddie Murphy’s Englewood Mansion, Report Says
East Hill mansion includes professional recording studio, bowling alley and is selling for about $15 million.
R&B singer-songwriter Alicia Keys and her husband, producer Swizz Beatz, are buying Eddie Murphy’s Englewood mansion for nearly $15 million, sources told the New York Post.
The 5-acre property in the city’s exclusive East Hill section includes an indoor pool, bowling alley and recording studio, according to a real estate listing.
“The house was built by an entertainer for an entertainer,” a source told the Post.
On the market since 2004, Murphy slashed the price from $30 million on the 32-room estate, according to real estate website zillow.com. Murphy bought the mansion, called Bubble Hill, for $3.5 million in 1985, the Post report said.
The property was once the most expensive single-family home in New Jersey, according to a New York Daily News report.
The Grammy-winning Keys is known for hits including her collaboration on Jay-Z’s ‘Empire State of Mind” and is set to release her latest album “Girl on Fire” next month.
