City Forms Disability Advisory Committee
Body will provide voice for disabled, counsel city officials on issues impacting community.

A new advisory committee formed by the city council will ensure that the needs of disabled persons are being met in Englewood.
The committee will advise the mayor and council as to the concerns of the disabled community, issues with accessibility to facilities, employment practices and compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act legislation.Â
An ordinance to form a 10-member body was passed unanimously by the Englewood City Council on June 25.
According to the ordinance, the committee will be comprised of a majority of people with disabilities or parents/caretakers of those with a disability; the remaining balance of members will be city officials or residents.
Members are appointed by Mayor Frank Huttle and serve three year terms. The committee will meet quarterly.
