City of Manassas Offers Fall CERT Class
The class is scheduled to run from Sept. 19 to Nov. 5.

The city of Manassas Community Emergency Response Team (CMCERT) is accepting applications for its fall training class. The class runs from Sept. 19 to Nov. 5. Class instruction includes disaster preparedness, medical operations, first aid, CPR, fire suppression, search and rescue and traffic and crowd management. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and must pass a background investigation by the Virginia State Police. An online application is available.
Being a CMCERT member is a great opportunity for growth and public service. CMCERT trains the community in planning and preparation for emergencies and recovering from emergencies with greater resilience. CMCERT assists the city's emergency services when responding to and recovering from disasters. CMCERT also provides first-aid services at special events in the city of Manassas.
