Congressman Calls Trump's Transgender Military Ban 'Disturbing'

Rep. Bill Pascrell said the move was based on 'prejudice.'

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — A New Jersey congressman expressed his displeasure Wednesday with President Trump's ban on transgender people serving in the military.

Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. (NJ-9) said in a Facebook post that Trump's reversing an Obama administration decision to lift a ban on transgender people from openly serve in the military was "disturbing."

"The Trump Administration reversing that decision based exclusively on prejudice is disturbing to say the least," Pascrell said in the Facebook post.
