Teaneck Native Selected For 'The Voice,' Sings Duet With Alicia Keys
BREAKING: Felicia Temple is a cancer survivor and earned the nickname "Felicia Keys" in school.
TEANECK, N.J. — It was a dream come true for a local singer on NBC's "The Voice."
Felicia Temple, a Teaneck native, was selected by her childhood idol, Alicia Keys, to join her team on the season 12 premiere of "The Voice," which aired Monday.
Keys, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton all turned their chairs around during Temple's audition. Keys then got up on stage and sang with Temple.

Nicknamed "Felicia Keys" in high school, Temple comes from a musical family. Her father, a retired Englewood police officer, toured with The Sugarhill Gang and she played piano and learned sheet music growing up, her biography on the show's website states.
Temple, a perioperative nurse, is also a cancer survivor. She was diagnosed last June and completed six rounds of chemotherapy.
