This is East Hanover Mayor Joe Pannullo with a special announcement.

Please be advised the East Hanover Health Department has informed us that since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, East Hanover has had 188 confirmed cases. That is an increase of 1 new case since last week. We currently have 3 individuals hospitalized and 5 individuals are home quarantined.

Of the 188 cases, 163 cases are closed meaning that all appropriate protocols were taken; the isolation period is over and completed according to the NJ State Department of Health guidelines. Sadly, we report that there have been 17 fatalities in East Hanover due to the coronavirus since the beginning of the Pandemic.

We ask that you pray for those who have the virus and to pray for those families that have lost their loved ones.

We remind you and encourage you to continue to practice safe social distancing and we strongly suggest the wearing of a mask.
