Taking an Active Role In Breast Cancer Awareness Month

(Englewood, N.J. - October 22, 2019) Englewood Chamber of Commerce (ECC) is excited to share the news that the City of Englewood has declared October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Englewood City Council passed a resolution in recognition of this effort. Englewood is the first town to take an active role in bringing together the community to raise awareness and funds for a worthy cause.

Breast Cancer is the second most common type of cancer in women. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States get breast cancer.

Promoting Honoring Grief and Loss workshop at 3:45pm to 6:30pm on Sunday, October 27. One of the woman leading the workshop is a recent breast cancer survivor and this should be beneficial for anyone touched by breast cancer.

Providing a donation class partnered with Yakima from the American Cancer Society, from 1:30-3:30pm. Yakima is one of Bamboo’s students and a breast cancer survivor, many of our students and survivors. Partnering with Good Neighbor Juice Bar to make pink juices for after class.

Accepting cash donations throughout the month and also donating 5% of BambooMoves October profits.
