Drop Election Lawsuit, Englewood Cliffs GOP Chairwoman Urges Democrats
Melanie Simon and Nora Seoane-Jobson are suing over their council campaign loss, and GOP leader Carrol McMorrow wants them to stop.

Englewood Cliffs Republican municipal committee chairwoman Carrol McMorrow is asking former Democratic council members Melanie Simon and Nora Seoane-Jobson to end their legal challenge to the results of November general election, The Record reported.
Simon and Seoane-Jobson are contesting their apparent Nov. 5 loss to Republicans Zhi "Philip" Liang and Nunzio Consalvo; 62 votes separated all four candidates. McMorrow said she disapproved of Englewoods Cliffs voters being served with subpoenas and called the challenge a "witch hunt" and "increasingly desperate," the article said.
McMorrow also complained about former Jersey City Gerald McCann, who served time in prison for bank fraud, working as Simon and Seoane-Jobson's investigator.
