A number of businesses in Englewood and one from Englewood Cliffs have been named “Best of Bergen” picks in the annual Best of Bergen Restaurant and Food Readers’ Choice Awards by Bergen Health and Life Magazine.
Englewood's Matisse Chocolatier won two awards coming in first place for best chocolate in the county beating out Hanna Krause's Homemade Candy in Paramus and Conrad's Confectionary in Westwood. The Englewood shop also came in second for best candy.
Englewood Cliffs' Food For Life took third place in the Organic Health Food Shop category coming in behind Whole Foods in Paramus and Organico of Ramsey.
Englewood's Cupcake by Carousel was named among the best cupcake shops in the area coming in third behind Mr. Cupcakes of Hackensack and Sweet Indulgences of Dumont.
Jerry's Homemade of Englewood took home two awards - tied for second for best mozzarella and tied for third with Fairway Market of Paramus for best cheese shop.
Rosie's Weenie Wagon was named top choice for the best Cheap Eats beating Biggie's Clam Bar of Carlstadt and Kinchley's Tavern of Ramsey.
