Englewood Taking Steps Towards Ice Arena Roof Repairs This Week

Coming up this week in Englewood/Englewood Cliffs

The city council will take steps towards getting repairs done to the Sandy-damaged John T. Wright ice arena this week.

As per the agenda for the Tuesday night work session meeting the council plans to award a contract for the roof replacement to the building.  After months of talks the council decided last month to put a financial plan in place for the Mackay Park arena repairs, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

The council plans to award a contract to Integrity Roofing, Inc. of Rahway for $386,000 to replace the storm-damaged roof, as per the posted agenda. The governing body introduced a plan last month to bond $960,000 towards arena repairs, as per NorthJersey.com.
