Faith-Based Nonprofit Celebrates Holidays with Moms and Babies
New Hope, Inc. is a 29-year-old 'abortion alternative' center that seeks to provide assistance to first-time unwed mothers.

A bustling party was held before Christmas with gifts and toys at the New Hope Pregnancy Resource Center for about 30 mothers and babies, according to staffers.
"The toddlers were so delighted to see Santa as they entered and there were 'oohs and ahhs' as they opened the presents," said volunteer Sarah Daly.
The presents were donated by the Closter Police and Firemen and Giving Tree programs in Bergen County. Each mother received a gift card for aÂ
local food store and personal gifts.Â
New Hope, Inc. is a 29-year-old nonprofit organization that provides "abortion alternatives" and information on subsidies for housing, day care, education, and counseling for first-time single mothers. It has relationships with a number of Bergen County Christian churches.
New Hope offers a three-year one-on-one mentoring program in which young women are encouraged and assisted through financial subsidies to continue her education, settle into "a logical career," find aÂ
safe place to live and arrange child care for their baby. The women in the program are also "encouraged to grow in faith" and mental and physical stability. Â
