Gov. Murphy To Swear In Michael Wildes As Englewood Mayor Monday
Wildes, who previously served as mayor from 2004 to 2010, said Englewood was a 'city in crisis' during the previous administration.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — Governor Phil Murphy will swear in Michael Wildes as the city's mayor Monday.
The swearing in will take place at 7 p.m. at the courthouse at 73 South Van Brunt St. during the city's reorganization meeting.
Wildes, a Democrat, defeated Dierdre Paul, a Republican, in the general election in November. Previously, Wildes was mayor from 2004 to 2010.

Wildes claims that during his time as mayor Englewood experienced "progress" and "prosperity." According to Wildes, taxes were stable, neighborhoods were safer and the city's business district "thrived."
Wildes is manager partner of Wildes and Weinberg, an immigration law firm. Previously, he was a federal prosecutor and auxiliary New York City Police officer. He has lived in Englewood for more than 25 years with his wife Amy and their four children.
