Lincoln School, Englewood Firehouse Project 'Long Overdue,' Assemblyman Says

Gordon M. Johnson, an Englewood resident, commends the city council for securing project.

To the editor:

I commend the Englewood City Council, the city administration and the mayor on their success in securing an exciting project that will transform the Lincoln School/Englewood Firehouse property. This project is long overdue. At last we have a plan that will beautify the streetscape, provide much needed ratables to our tax base, and support the growth of our downtown.

This project is a result of real cooperation between our elected officials and our city administration. In that spirit, now is the time to move forward and make a decision about the  Liberty School  building that will benefit all of Englewood's residents.
