St. Ann's 3rd-Graders Bring History To Life in 'Humanitronics' Display
Students became historical figure 'animatronics,' complete with costumes and biographic presentations every time guests pushed the 'talk button.'
Third graders at St. Ann's Elementary School channeled the spirits of both past and present historical figures to give them new life in a wax-museum type presentation made better with live actors.
Students were assigned historical figures that they spent the entire year researching and became "humanitronic" figures -- from Barack Obama to Florence Nightingale --Â last Thursday, complete with costumes and a "talk" button.
Attendees of the live-action wax museum were able to press a "button" students pinned on themselves to hear the student give a biographical presentation on their subject.
The miniature models also made display boards discussing their subject's life, major accomplishments and interesting facts.
