Theater Nights On The Lawn Return To Englewood With Oscar Wilde
"The Importance of Being Earnest" will be performed on three separate dates, in front of the Englewood Public Library. Admission is free.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — The Englewood Public Library is hosting a series of free outdoor script-in-hand performances of The Importance of Being Earnest.
Dubbed Wilde Nights on the Lawn, the event will happen over three Tuesday evenings, on April 20, May 25, and June 22, at 8 p.m.
For the fourth summer in a row, the Englewood Public Library has partnered with The Black Box Performing Arts Center to bring arts to its front lawn. The last few years, they've performed Shakespeare, and this year they're bringing to life the words of the 19th-century Irish author Oscar Wilde.

Most famous for works such as "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and the comedic play "The Importance of Being Earnest," Wilde was, according to Britannica, "a spokesman for the late 19th-century Aesthetic movement in England, which advocated art for art’s sake."
There will also be outdoor jazz concerts for the months of June through August, to be announced, according to The Englewood Public Library.
