Fair Lawn Mayor Celebrates Read Across America Day with CTC

Thank you to Fair Lawn Mayor and Friend of CTC Academy, Kurt Peluso, for sharing the joy of reading with our students on Friday, March 1st. Mayor Peluso read to two of our pre-school classes, inciting tons of smiles and giggles with his readings of Dr. Seuss’s Yertle The Turtle and The Big Brag, in celebration of Read Across America Day.
Read Across America Day is an annual reading event launched in 1997 by the National Education Association in celebration of the birthday of Dr. Seuss. The annual reading day looks to encourage students to read and be read to, and have fun while doing so.
Other visiting readers included CTC Board President, Clara S. Licata and Board Member, Cathy Tamburello and CTC Parents!

CTC Academy is a private non-profit school and therapy center which has been serving children with disabilities – ages 18 months through 21 years of age – in Bergen County for over 68 years. Our Fair Lawn Campus serves children and young adults ages 18 months - 6 years.
