Fair Lawn Republican Club Stands in Solidarity with Israel

The Republican Club of Fair Lawn stands in solidarity with the people of Israel. Given what has recently transpired between Israel and the Palestinians it is more important now than it has ever been to show support to our Jewish brothers and sisters.

Yet again the state of Israel is under attack by Hamas as they recently sent rockets directly into Tel Aviv. It is said that the randomness of the attacks is what has everyone in the area on edge.

While Israel is defending itself performing targeted strikes on military installations in Gaza, Hamas is just lobbing rockets into Israel seemingly without a target of any kind.

Homes are being destroyed as Israelis flee to bombs shelters not knowing what will be left when they emerge. Air raid sirens are going off at all hours of the day.

Reports indicate these attacks are far more sophisticated than before. It appears Hamas is receiving international support, including rockets being supplied from Iran, as they have been able to stockpile weapons. Combine that with enhanced training for their soldiers and they are a real threat to the safety of the Jewish state.

As the tensions escalate we have heard nothing from our elected leaders, including our very own council here in Fair Lawn. In fact, we watch as some elected officials even side with Hamas and the Palestinians.

Israel is facing what may very well be an unprecedented attack and it’s up to us to show our support to our Jewish brothers and sisters here in Fair Lawn.

The Republican club wants all of our Jewish residents here in town to know we stand in solidarity with you and with all people of Israel in these trying times.
