The President of the United States gets to put his message out through twitter, press conferences, and PR efforts. The conferences on COVID-19 was one such example. A recent example of a PR trick, likely never attempted, accompanied the sending of COVID-relief checks to American citizens. It is customary that such checks contain the signature of the Secretary of the Treasury. Well we know whose name appeared there; that of President Donald J. Trump. That one signature left a misleading impression that the program, and these checks, were initiated by the President. But this is the power of the incumbency, where you can get credit for things you had little, if any, role in effectuating.
I am Martin Rosenfeld, a Fair Lawn family mediator and attorney. I believe that the seniors will have a major impact on the outcome of the 2020 election. I have set up a new Twitter account designated as @InformedSeniors. I take issues that have been used by the White House to get out a particular message. I simply present the full picture by links to articles that have discussed these issues and given a more full and objective treatment. My comments are introductory and simply set the stage. It is my hope that seniors will read the linked articles and give them some thought. Hopefully, the information contained therein will be shared with others.
