Rite Aid Opens Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing Site In Bergen Co.
The Waldwick testing site is open seven days a week and can test approximately 200 people each day.
WALDWICK, NJ — Rite Aid is now offering self-swab, no-cost coronavirus testing in the Tri-State area.
In a news release Thrusday, Rite Aid announced it is adding two drive-thru coronavirus test sites in Waldwick, New Jersey, and Valley Cottage, New York. The Waldwick site is located at 60 Franklin Turnpike. The Valley Cottage testing site is at 133 Route 303.
Residents hoping to be tested must meet CDC-established criteria, have valid identification, be at least 18-years-old and register online in advance.

In the release, Rite Aid said the COVID-19 testing locations will use self-swab nasal tests, meaning patients will swab themselves while being overseen by a Rite Aid pharmacist.
Testing will be conducted in each store's parking lot, Rite Aid said. People being tested will be required to stay in their car for the entire testing process.

Both the Waldwick and Valley Cottage sites will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, Rite Aid said. Each store estimates it will be able to conduct around 200 tests each day.
Rite Aid said it's using Verily's Baseline COVID-19 Program to provide screening, scheduling and return of results. Testing is performed by BioReference Laboratories. Clinical oversight of the testing program is provided by PWNHealth.
Rite Aid said it intends to provide COVID-19 testing at stores in New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan and Virginia soon.
