Saddle Brook Schools Go Virtual Amid Rise In COVID Quarantines

District officials report active cases in all five schools and over 80 identified quarantines. Here's when in-person learning could resume.

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — School district officials have approved a shift to distance learning at all five schools, reporting an active case of COVID-19 at each school, and over 80 identified quarantines.

"It has been a long month, and we have faced much uncertainty the past few weeks. Our continued increases at the Regional Level and the increases in active positive cases and necessary quarantines have been rising throughout the district," said Superintendent Danielle Shanley, in a letter to parents.

Shanley also reported two additional cases of the coronavirus in district schools, one at Franklin School and the other at Washington School.

often, this does not seem to be the best time to do that. Our region has been hit pretty hard lately," Shanley said.
