Bergen County Boasts Some Of N.J.'s Best Hot Dogs: Magazine

Hiram's and Callahan's make Saveur magazine's cut for the state's best ripper dogs.

FORT LEE, N.J. - Two well-known Bergen County hot dog restaurants have been named as the places to go for a great “ripper”-style hot dog.

These dogs are deep-fried beef and pork creations have secret ingredients that help them stand up to the deep fryers and “puff up” for that signature look, Saveur magazine said.

Hiram’s in Fort Lee, Callahan’s in Northvale, and Rutt’s Hutt, another North Jersey favorite, made Saveur’s list.
