Bergen Senator: Christie Created Culture That Allowed Bridgegate To Happen: Report
The state senator from Teaneck said that the cover-up regarding the Bridgegate scandal 'wasn't even a good cover-up.'

State Sen. Loretta Weinberg (D-Teaneck) said in a recent interview that Governor Christie created the culture at the Port Authority that made it possible for the Bridgegate lane closures to happen.
Weinberg said in an interview with Observer.com that David Wildstein, the former director of interstate capital projects, and Bill Baroni, deputy executive director of the Port Authority, under the "one constituent rule" and that their main objective was that was was good for Governor Christie, was good for them, according to the report.
It was that idea that was the genesis that spawned the Fort Lee lane closures as a way of punishing Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich for not endorsing Christie for reelection.

Weinberg said in the report that it was hard for her to imagine that, "two intelligent people thought they could get away with this bizarre idea to begin with."
