Bergen Youth Orchestras To Hold Auditions in August, early September
The Orchestra's Three Ensembles Provide Opportunities for Young Musicians

The Bergen Youth Orchestras (BYO), one of the leading youth orchestra programs in the greater New York area, will be holding auditions in the second half of August and early September for the 2012-2013 season.
Auditions will be scheduled by appointment, and will be held at St. Paul’s Church, at 113 Engle St. in Englewood, N.J. Young musicians from throughout northern New Jersey and New York are welcome to audition for the BYO’s three distinct performance sections: Concert Strings, Philharmonia and the more advanced Symphony.
While all orchestral musicians are invited, the Bergen Youth Orchestras is looking for horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, timpani and percussion players, as well as violists and string bass players. Students will be asked to play a prepared piece of their choice, one or two major scales chosen by the BYO and to perform a short sight reading.
