Edgewater Whole Foods Recalls Veggies Due To Possible Listeria

EDGEWATER, NJ — Whole Foods Market is voluntarily recalling vegetables from its New Jersey stores, including the chain’s Edgewater location, due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

This recall follows California-based Mann Packing Co.'s recall earlier this week.

The recalled products at New Jersey based Whole Foods Markets include:

· Trend Alert Caulilini with Vadouvan Curry

· Wedge Greek Salad

· Caulilini, Roasted Grape & Curry Vinaigrette Cindy's

· Roasted Caulilini

· Cauliflower Caulilini

The products were available on salad and hot bars, chefs' cases or packaged in plastic containers. The affected products were sold between Oct. 10, 2019 and Nov. 4, 2019, according to Whole Foods.

Public health officials have not reported any illness associated with these products.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
