Fort Lee's Mark Sokolich Re-elected Mayor

There were a few local races on the Fort Lee ballot this year, including for mayor.

FORT LEE, NJ — Results are in for the 2019 Fort Lee municipal elections.

Incumbent Democrat Mark Sokolich ran against Anthony Navas for mayor.

With 18 of 19 voting districts reporting, Sokolich received 3,270 votes, while Navas received 1,300.

Democrats Ila Kasofsky and Peter Suh ran against Republicans Linda Barba and Eric Fisher for two spots on the council. Suh and Kasofsky received 3,035 and 3,026 votes, respecitvely. Barba received 1,353 votes and Fisher 1,318 votes.

Three people ran unopposed for three seats on the board of education: Candace Romba, Paula Colbath, and Michael Rubino. Romba received 1,400 votes, while Colbath and Rubino received 1,337 votes and 1,370 votes, respectively.
