Fort Lee Nationals Are Little League District Champions
NJ District 6 Champions: Fort Lee Nationals Junior League Defeats Palisades Park/Leonia in13-14 Division!
The Fort Lee Nationals Juniors defeated Pal Park/Leonia 11-8 in a see-saw battle Sunday to clinch the NJ District 6 Championships in the 13-14 Division Tournament.
This game was a strong offensive showing with Fort Lee Juniors collecting 13 hits and Pal Park/Leonia 9 hits.
Fort Lee captured the lead early in the first inning with Joseph Sciglitano collecting an RBI. Pal Park quickly struck back to take the lead, only to have Fort Lee tie it up in the top of the third at 3-3 with Ely George singling with one out. In the top of the fourth, with the game tied at 3-3 and Fort Lee batting, Stefano Casale launched a single off Marcus Kim, driving in two runs. Fort Lee's five run offensive outburst in the sixth was led by a single from Stefano Casale, followed by a single from Sciglitano, a stolen base, and a triple by Anthony Rosado. This deluge of runs put Fort Lee totally in control of the outcome.

Casale, Adrian Lasval, George, Sciglitano, and Rosado each had multiple hits to cement this victory.
Casale went 3-for-5 to lead Fort Lee in hitting. This was accompanied by an outbreak of 12 stolen bases, led by Jordan Weisner with four.
This was a solid team effort by the Fort Lee team, well deserved.

The Fort Lee Coaches, Jay Jersey, Eric Felipe, Manish Moitiani, and Andrew Schulman, could not have been prouder of the performance by this stellar group of young men.
Under the guidance of President John Casale, the Fort Lee National League is now a force to be reckoned with in District 6. Special thanks to NJ District 6 Administrator, Jeffrey Ware, for running an outstanding tournament.
