Fort Lee Table Tennis Player To Compete At Rio Olympics
Yue "Jennifer" Wu won two gold medals at the Pan American games last year.

FORT LEE, N.J. — Yue "Jennifer" Wu is used to fierce competition. And beating it.
The Fort Lee native will represent the United States as a member of the U.S. Olympic Team in Rio de Janeiro next month.
“I cannot put it in words how happy and excited I am to be this much closer to realizing my dream of becoming a Table Tennis Olympian,” Wu said on a GoFundMe she created to raise money to help her prepare for the Olympics. She raised more than $10,000.

She qualified for the Olympics by winning the Pan American Games last summer. She won the gold in both the women’s singles and women’s double events. Her teammates, Lily Zhang and Jaiqi Zheng, are from California.
Wu been playing table tennis for 17 years. She was born in China and played for the Beijing Women’s Team from 2003 to 2008. She moved to the United States when she was 18.
