Go Back To A Simpler Time With Lemonade, 'Hoops,' And Stories
Guests are invited to return to a 'time of simpler pleasures from the 18th century.
Travel back to a simpler time at Mrs. Kearney's Tavern in the Palisades Interstate Park as part of the Behind the Times series Thursday June 30 and July 14 and 21.
Staff dressed in 18th-century clothing will serve lemonade, watermelon, and other summer treats. Kids can learn how to play "hoops" and "graces" and other period games. The house's official musician will play music from Mrs. Kearney's lifetime.
Gatherings will held rain or shine. Attendance is free. Advance registration is not required.
