The Play Fair Experience Comes to the Javits Convention Center February 13th-14th

The Patch finds out the top seven things parents and toy enthusiasts need to know about this extravaganza, which brings together presentations and interactive events from brands such as LEGO, Nick, Hasbro, Mattel, Toys”R”Us, Cartoon Network, Warner Bros., Bandai and Crayola all under one roof.

Patch: Can you tell us about the inspiration for the Play Fair Experience?
Play Fair: The Toy Industry Association and LeftField Media came together to create the first ever open to the public celebration of play and entertainment for all ages. It is kind of like a comic con for kids and families.

Patch: Is there a specific age range the event is targeted for?
Play Fair: Play Fair is for families, children and toy lovers of all ages. We will have immersive play experiences for all ages including: Thomas & Friends experience, building with LEGO and DUPLO and racing your creation down the track, a SHOPKINS Fashion Show, Razor Scooter Test Track, NERF Arena, see the new Batmobile from the new movie “Batman Vs. Superman”, Screenings, Performances on the Toys “R” Us Stage, YouTuber Unboxings of Toys on Stage, Jedit Training Academy, Meet & Greets/Photo Ops with favorite characters including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, PAW Patrol, Finn & Jake from Adventure Time, Peppa Pig, Shimmer & Shine, Game Shakers, Make it Pop and so much more. Patch: How long can parents plan to spend at the event?
Play Fair: Each session lasts 4 hours. Depending on how involved in the performances, booth experiences and character events, some are choosing multiple sessions or even our weekend experience VIP pass that includes priority admission to each of the 4 sessions, a collectible figurine, and a collectible lanyard.

Play Fair: My favorite part about the Play Fair experience is that it is a hands on family experience that appeals to all interests from hands on play, to engaging performances, to meeting your favorite characters, the opportunity to buy exclusive limited edition toys, and leaving with a free goodie bag of toys and fun from our sponsors.

Play Fair: Yes, and yes. Play Fair offers interactive play that is both fun and educational. Seeing LEGO Masterbuilders on Saturday morning, to creating your own creations, exploring art with Crayola, meeting authors and comic book creators. Experiences to stimulate all types of play and imagination!
