Pools Around Fort Lee: Where To Swim This Summer

FORT LEE, NJ — Summer is just around the corner, and you may be planning now to find activities to keep the kids busy — and cool. An obvious summer favorite pastime is spending those hot afternoons at the local pool.

The state recently issued guidance for pools to follow, so they can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic.

So where near Fort Lee can you take a dip? We've compiled this guide of local pools to help you and your family stay cool this summer.

Palisades Park Swim Club, 200 Roosevelt Pl, Palisades Park

Starting June 17, the Palisades Park Swim Club will be open everyday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for members and 12 a.m. to 6 p.m for daily guets ($15 entrance per person).

Ridgefield Pool, 555 Walnut St, Ridgefield

Besides the pool, the Ridgefield Recreation Center has a water playground called spray bay, which is open to members only during summer 2021, from May 29 to September 5. Reservations are required.

Englewood Field Club, 341 Engle St., Englewood

The club has a large heated outdoor swimming pool, open to members and their guests from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Private and kids swimming lessons are also available for members.

Tryon and Mackay Englewood Pools, next to Janis Dismus Middle school and Mackay Park, respectively

The Tryon and Mackay Englewood Pools will be open starting June 22. Operating hours are 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Membership is $30 for individuals and $100 for families, plus processing fees, and people can sign up for it through class pass.

Bogota Swim pool, 499 Feller Pl., Bogota

The Bogota Swim pool is open to all Bergen County during the 2021 summer season, with proof of address being required for adults. Daily rates are $15 per person and the pool is open every day.

Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, 411 East Clinton Av., Tenafly

There is an inside and outdoor pool available at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades and membership is $131 for individuals and $181 for families. The outdoor pool is set to open for the summer season on Memorial Day.
