2 Harassed Woman Over Cost Of Husband's Cancer Treatment: HPD
The two Hackettstown women are accused of harassing a local resident about the costs of her deceased husband's cancer care, police said.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Two Hackettstown women have been charged with harassment, after allegedly berating a local woman online about her late husband's cancer, police said.
Debra Mutz, 58, and Jessica Fox, 38, both of Hackettstown, were arrested on Monday after posting harassing messages online against a local woman, whom police did not name, police said. The alleged harassment was first reported to police in early October.
Mutz is accused of leaving comment's on the woman's personal blog, accusing her of lying about the cost's of her late husband's cancer treatments, and about her children's after school activities.

Fox is accused of leaving similar comments on the blog and on Hackettstownlife.com, where she allegedly accused the woman of scamming people out of money by establishing a fundraiser for her husband's cancer treatment. Fox also allegedly said the woman was mistreating her children and had cheated on her husband.
Both women were released with upcoming court dates.
