6th Annual Halloween Downtown Back In Hackettstown For 2019

Celebrate Halloween with a costume contest and parade.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ– Children – and pets – can win prizes for best costume on Saturday at Hackettstown's sixth annual Halloween Downtown celebration.

The event, which includes a parade and trick-or-treating, is scheduled for 3-5 p.m. on Oct. 26, starting at Centenary University

Parade participants are asked to line up at the corner of Jefferson Street and West Moore Street at 2:30 p.m. The parade will then go down West Moore Street to Main Street and will end at the Main Street gazebo.

The parade is slated for a 3 p.m. start.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Infant to 3 years old;
  • 4 to 6 years old;
  • 7 to 10 years old;
  • best pet costume.

Local downtown businesses will offer trick-or-treating as well.

The event is sponsored by the Hackettstown Police Department, Mars Chocolate North America, Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID) and Hackettstown Medical Center.
